The date has been set for one of the biggest and baddest car shows held annually in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area! The 2015 Supernationals Car Show will be held on February 6th, 7th, and 8th at Expo New Mexico.
These events are always a total blast and bring out some amazing customized vehicles from throughout the United States. We are also proud to note that a number of local car clubs in the Albuquerque are participate in this amazing show! Chandler Arizona’s Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park was a scene littered by trashed tires, the sound of engines bouncing off the rev limiter, and smoke rising to the clouds on December 6th, 2014! Garrett Turbo presented the first Boost Festival event, which showcased drifting events, drag racing, a car show, vendor booths, and raffle prizes from the event sponsors and vendors.

23rd Annual Supernationals Custom Auto Show
After 23 years of holding its custom auto show, Supernationals is as strong as ever and has garnered national praise with a host of leading manufacturers showcasing their automotive classics at the three-day event. Held in at the former New Mexico Fairgrounds, which is now more commonly, refer to as the Lujan Complex in Albuquerque, the event took place at the start of 2014. The Hot Rod And Custom Car Show Series events are a staple of the Albuquerque automotive scene! With events alternating between the two Albuquerque, New Mexico Hooters Restaurant locations during summer weekends, these events bring out some of the cleanest and coolest restorations, import, and old school classic cars that Albuquerque and the surrounding areas have to offer!
The July 26th event was hosted at the westside Hooters location off of Alameda and Coors. This event brought out a number of classic restorations and filled the parking lot with some real sights to see!

July 12th marked the date for the 2014 reincarnation of the All Out Call Out at the Albuquerque National Dragway!
The event brings some simple rules to the table – Slicks allowed, but no tire changing at the track, racers can’t refuse a call out, and door and frame chassis STREET CARS only! All this makes for some great racing with some quick street cars, as you’ll see below in the event results for each class. continue reading »
Albuquerque National Dragway put on a great event for the July 4th weekend. This event was touted as the largest event that they have organized for the 2014 season!
“A LUCKY SPECTATOR will have a chance to win $25,000. Plus Jet Cars,Real Outlaw Door Slammers, Western Fuel Altereds, Outlaw 8.5 and 2 days of Big Dollar Bracket Racing ($10,000 purse each day). Cars from all over the southwest will be in attendance.”

It’s always a pleasure when the Racing Southwest crew can head up the road to our friends from the north and shred some tires! Triple Crown Drift invited us out for the 2014 Colorado Drift Week event being held at Pikes Peak International Raceway. The weekend of 6/26/2014-6/28/2014 brought out drifters from Colorado and many of the surrounding states with one mission – MAKE TIRES CRY!
