The Gumball 3000 Rally is back for 2009 with a coast to coast race across the United States from Los Angeles to Miami. The event is running from May 1st to May 8th, 2009. The party started in Los Angeles with a huge party on the Santa Monica Pier and has continued across the United States as they reach each of the check points which include Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Santa Fe , Dallas, New Orleans, Orlando and finally making their last pitstop on the 8th in Miami Florida.

On Monday May 4th, the rally will be in Santa Fe, New Mexico and we will be providing live coverage through Twitter during the festivities.  Follow us on Twitter: @racingsouthwest

The 11th incarnation of the Gumball Rally marks the first time in 6 years that the rally fully took place within the United States.  Over 100 participants have signed up for the race and include celebrities such as David Hasselhoff, Bam Margera, skate legend Tony Hawk, Cypress Hill’s own DJ Muggs, and Dave Mirra just to name a few of the famous faces you’ll see in some awesome rides making the trek.
