Racing Southwest

Make sure to free up some time in your schedule to attend the Street Brawl!  September 13th, 2009 at the Albuquerque National Dragway.  This event awards $1,000 to the winner of each class!

Classes:

1st class (cars)
2nd class (Trucks)
3rd class (Bikes)

Entry Fee:

$20.00 + Gate (must be paid in advance to race) this is to rent the track for the day so we can take our sweet time running this event.

How it works!

This is a 100% call-out event. You cannot refuse a call-out. Remember anything can happen. Yes there may be a fast vehicle racing a slow vehicle. This is a street race and there is no crying in street racing. Call-outs will be made in rounds. (more details on this part later.) If you are the person that has been called out you may open a wager! (gambling is encouraged) you will have three minutes to negotiate the wager. You must have a neutral driver hold the money. Driver that has been called out can also pick the tree, ie: Pro Tree, Standard, or Arm Drop etc… If you lose the race, you are out! This is a single elimination event. There are no index’s the last driver in each class wins!

Payouts:

Are you ready? The winner of each class gets $1000.00 cash money! Boys and Girls this is a heads up street brawl and the winner takes all. I’m working on additional contingency money or gifts for the drivers as well. The payout amount will increase as more cars enter.

Brawl Rules:

1. License, Registration, Insurance, and Entry Fee are required up front
2. All vehicles must make and complete the mandatory drive.
A. Drive will be a minimum of 30 miles
B. Vehicle must make drive, and be under its own power through the gate of the track. If not the vehicle and driver are DQ’d
C. If you act up on the drive, driver and vehicle are DQ’d
D. If driver and vehicle are DQ’d entry fee is forfeited
E. DOT Tires only (no slicks)
F. No tire changes allowed must race on the tires you drove to the track with
3. Your vehicle must be NHRA legal for the speed and time it runs
4. All power adders are legal in any combination
5. Use of transbrake is allowed
6. Cars,Trucks, and Bikes must have mufflers / Cars and Trucks must have passenger seat
7. Use of Cut-outs will not be allowed!

How you can help:

We will need some volunteers to help with track preparation as well as setting up the winners bracket.  Will need everyone to spread the word on this event.  For it to work, a minimum of 50 cars will make this a great success.  If we don’t fill the classes, event won’t happen.  Some people have said we don’t have a strong racing community.  Let’s prove em’ wrong!
