Groups like the New Mexico Off Road League and the New Mexico Off-Road Racing Series have been putting together a plethora of well organized, safe, large desert racing events on the sand dunes, back roads, and mud beds of New Mexico.
The size and payout of many of these events rivals many of the big name desert races held nationally and the number of racers and spectators alike is growing daily as these events get further recognition. Recently the New Mexico Off-Road Racing Series has put on the Gallup National Off-Road Race in Gallup, New Mexico and the New Mexico Off Road League has put on many large events including the Cinco de Baja 150 just outside of Albuquerque.

The NM Offroad Racing Series will be putting on another event in Gallup on August 6th and 7th, 2011. This event will be a New Mexico Desert Racing Club points race and will follow the same track format as the previous race held in Gallup this past Memorial Day, the Gallup National Off Road Race.
Over 100 quads and 128 bikes registered to race the Gallup National so we hope that even more racers are able to register for this upcoming race since it doesn’t fall on a holiday weekend like the previous race did.
